So, here we are, to discuss having a Both and... Ying-Yang, East-West  open, expansive mindset conversation about the Bridging of the East and The West and all combinations thereof...

To be so naive in thinking ONLY ONE way is the "The CURE" is in my opinion,  sort of like being Soooo mono focused on a "GOAL" a word I don't even use anymore because you are Soooo focused on that goal you aren't seeing the peripheral, or all points of view, and or all of the opportunities and experiences and other methodologies that might be there to help and or serve you, I therefore like the term outcomes... What are the outcomes you are choosing to have in all aspects of your life ?

Let me also pre-frame this article with, this is just my personal opinion, from my direct experience, research, studies, certifications and that I am in no way advocating one way over the other exclusively nor am I am a doctor and that if you are having concerns and or issues I truly advise you to seek the help you need from Your Choice and or type of Medical practitioner and wish everyone an abundance of Health, Wealth, Love and Happiness...

Is this truly The Cure

and is this truly and ONLY Just a band aid

and is there a Third Option of Both And... +++

A Little background from where I am coming from before we get into this.

When my mom was pregnant with me in 1964 she had german measles, and RH Negative Blood, hence the story goes I was always a very ill child with many health issues, permanent eye vision loss, severe adult allergies to everything, and a very comprised immune system etc...

Let us fast forward to around the age of 16 when a combination of things truly began the journey of much which began with Many Acute Hospitalizations and surgery number one in 1983 and now at the age of 48 going in for Surgery #27.

Let us go back now, Since I did go thru so much even before I was 16- I became fascinated with the Mind, Body, Spirit connection and beginning in 1982 and still today, never stopped studying everything I could get my hands on in Theology, Psychology, Metaphysics, even got 5 Western medical certifications, Various Energy Healing Certifications, Interfaith Minister Certification, and Various other certifications in NLP, Hypno, studied Flower Essences, Herbs, Homeopathy, you name it, I massively studied it, applied it, used it on myself first and then with clients.  I also worked in Various Clinical settings and holistic settings.  From ER, Nursing Homes to Hospice and Group homes for the disabled.

So where am I going with all of this... Hm... 

First off, I would Like to say that I do believe in the  Mind, Body, Spirit Connection so much so, I endorsed the the Movie "The Cure is U"

Secondly, I think WE as a society have gotten to be a very black/white, yes/no,

this way/or that way society.  Here is why I think that can be a Huge problem.

I have had friends that were so headstrong and would only do Holistic methods and have died, and also with only Western methods that have died... I have also seen many People so out of tune with their bodies that kept saying I just don't feel right, I am bumping into things and do nothing and find out they were going to die in 1-2 months because they found out they had stage 4 cancer or something else, and they were amazing, loving, positive people.

Let's Face it, if you break a bone, Flower Essences are not going to set it for You.  Now, I also do believe there are amazing healers that are what they call Energy Shape shifters, Shamans, and have seen some bone realignment work done, however these types of healers are not necessarily always easy to access or obviously covered by Medical insurance etc...  

And... Let us discuss the Placebo effect and our words and thoughts.

I truly believe that if somebody believes that, that radioactive pellet is going to cure their testicular cancer it will, no different for some that think that the chemotherapy is poison and as such will kill them... And I have seen friends that lived and died from both...

Then of course there is our Old outdated stories running around in our unconscious, Attitude, Faith, belief, environment, Food intake etc... etc... etc...  

And for some their is the belief of destiny, fate, choice, Karma etc... etc... etc...

We are all unique beings so thinking that things need to be this way or that way, and only this method or that method, Vegan, Juicing, Paleo Eating, The blood type diet etc... etc... etc... doesn't really resonate with me.  

What I have found thru my journey of 26 surgeries going on 27 and having almost died too many times now... and having been Vegan, Vegetarian, Paleo, Blood Type etc... etc... etc... used Herbs, Flower Essences, Tapping,  IET, Reiki, Acupressure, Chi Machines, Rebounding etc...

is the following:

-Attitude of Gratitude is everything and believe me I am not perfect and have had my days of just wanting to die.

-Environment and support system of amazing Friends is Vital, we are all beings that Love human touch and interaction.

-Move your body even if one body part is not working, when I had knee surgeries I was moving up upper body, and when I had my shoulder surgeries I was moving my lower body etc...

-Healing Music and Sound Vibratory music is amazingly helpful

-Non pesticide foods, Natural Foods gives you much more energy

-Alkaline foods makes a huge difference

-Eliminating Dairy, and any processed foods made a huge difference

-Listening to your body is absolutely VITAL at all times...

-Be honest with yourself and Now when to say "UNCLE" meaning

this isn't working I am in too much pain or etc...

-And... Both Western and Eastern Medicines do have a place...

-There were times when I have used various methodologies at one time

that worked, and sometimes, literally it was no other choice than morphine.

I did use herbs as opiates at times when things were more manageable, tinctures, however they are very dangerous and you need to know what the hell you are doing or you could die.  

-Herbs are not Toys to just play with, some can cause serious damage no different than Western medicines can.

-Be immensely grateful to technologies that have saved numerous lives, especially in the advancement of Cures for different diseases, and the advancement in  artificial joints and limbs that have given people a new life...

I personally, already have had 3 knee surgeries with radical procedures done on one knee and 1 on the other, at what point do you go... DONE...

Hence why right now I am EXTREMELY GRATEFUL for technology and

finally having the approval to start getting my new knees so I can do Yoga again, so I can go back out and walk with nature without pain etc...

Having your body in chronic pain does more damage to your body than you could possibly imagine.

Thus why I truly feel it is sooo important to be open to all Points of view, all technologies, Natural and other if it is going to be a choice between a crappy

quality of life, a better quality of life or a greater quality of life...

At the end of the day it all boils done to choosing what works best for Your Unique body, Honor that, and stop thinking that any ONE thing is the magic solution.  It can be a both and +++ You can be Spiritual, Meditate, Chant,

Use Eastern Philosophies, Yoga, Karate, Lift Weights, Use some herbs, flower essences, Natural Cures and yes some times you may need the Western world of medicine and technology...  I don't think one is bad or evil and the other is pure and good... They both serve, it is all in how you are choosing to use and or apply them that makes all of the difference in the world.

Honor and Love your body and do what you need to do for your Unique self.

I don't know who the exact author is, I have googled it and cannot find who the quote was originated from... However the quote is this: 

"An anthropologist proposed a game to African tribe kids. He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told them that whoever got there first won the sweet fruits. When he told them to run they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats. When he asked them why they had run like that as one could have had all the fruits for himself they said: UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?

UBUNTU in the Xhosa culture means: “I am because we are”.

When I saw this, picture and quote, I wrote this piece on Children and Education called "Imagine"

Imagine if All SCHOOLS taught from the Space of Heart Centered Co-Creational Global Consciousness and Taught and Lived from the Space of ONE.

Everything was taught from a mindset of: Teamwork, Sharing, Giving, Global  Unity, Peace and Collaboration, Friendship, and consciousness. 

All children were assigned an accountability partner of the opposite sex.
So they would learn how to deal with male and female dynamics energetically, emotionally etc...

Imagine if All Children were taught and raised in a Heart Centered Intentional Energetic Space a Village, Community, A large Campus if you will... where the everyday values where:  Love, Paying it Forward, Authenticity, Creativity, Co-Creation, Sharing, Collaboration, Teamwork, Compassionate Passionate Communications, Abundance in all areas of their life, out of the box thinking, Teamwork and more...

Imagine the classroom Environment Filled with: Color, Sound Vibratory Music Aromatherapy, Plants, Animals, having all children from Infants to Graduation all on one Campus.  A campus that had fruit trees, vegetable gardens, a Mini Farm. 

Their was a senior center on site. By having children from Infancy thru seniors on one campus they would learn what the whole cycle of life was about. Children would rotate time in the nursery and preschool area to the senior center so they could actively learn how to care for infants and toddlers, and learn patience and compassion from the elderly.

Their Bodies Nourished with: Alive, Whole, Alkaline, High Vibrational Foods every 3 hours to keep their Minds awake and alert.

Their Minds, Bodies and Spirits Nurtured thru:

Arts, Global Music, Compassionate Passionate Communications, Self Healing Energetics, Eastern and Western- Energetics, Healing, Philosophies, Theologies, and Psychology. 

Imagine the course curriculum included:

The Art of Hearing, The Art of Seeing, The Art of Listening, The Art of Feeling,

Sexuality, Sacred relationships, Marriage, Conscious Pregnancies, Conscious Parenting, Conscious Business Collaborations, Love Peace Gratitude, Compassionate Passionate Communications, Entrepreneurship, Creative Financing, Bartering, Organization, Aromatherapy, Energy Healing, Sacred Geometry-Math, Creative writing and story telling, Herbs, Flower Essences, Whole Food Nutrition, Gardening etc...

Their day began with: Body Movement then open sharing, into Creative writing and story telling, followed by Art and Music, Sacred Geometry-Math,

followed by different courses that they got to choose, because it was an interest that they were good at either hobby wise and or business wise etc...

They were taught Conscious Business Collaborations:

What that meant and the values of:

Integrity, Referrals, Sharing, Teamwork, Co-Creating with others….

Learning what the real meaning of Win-Win meant.

Doing what they Love...

Giving because you choice to and for no other reason...

Giving Massive Value...

Customer Service is paramount...

A beautiful blend of a bit of blues and rock and Raspin's raspy vocals that he hits just in the right places. Great songs with awesome lyrics a term I like to use called "Music with a Voice, Your Lyrics Impact the World" and I can honestly say all of his lyrics do that, every word means something.

So I posted a reply and Alex replied with this comment: "your story is so inspirational! I hope that you share this story with as many people as you can, because it is true! You can make some of the best connections with strangers, you just have to be open to meeting them and put the fear away."


So here is what I wrote:
"I travel all over interviewing and promoting speaks, authors, musicians etc... and I have to say some of most amazing stories have started with Social Media Sites like FB and Twitter where somebody has reached out to me or I them, and a conversation gets started... One in particular when I was living in Hawaii for 3 yrs. I had a client whom we had been talking via phone for over 3 yrs and worked together for over 3 yrs and when I just recently moved back to CA and had the opportunity to fly to Florida to interview some speakers and she just happened to live only 30 minutes from where I was going to be we met for the very first time and it was AMAZING... It was like I have known her my entire life... The initial HUG was magical and the conversation was like WHY on earth didn't we do this before... So many people are afraid to met complete strangers, I have flown all the way across the US to meet some people... Bottom line YOU Never know, follow your intuition, some of the most amazing Relationships, friendship, business and other come out of the wonderful world of Social Media and the internet... At the end of the day I live my life from the mindset of Sharing, Collaboration, and Team work and from there anything can be achieved... and some wonderful relationships that can be live Transforming... Enjoy the Journey..."

I would like to add to that, that when I lived in Santa Monica, before I moved to Hawaii for 3 years, I used to have a 3bed/3bath place and I would always LOVE to post an ad on Craigslist for my spare room for World Travelers to come stay.  I would do this about 3 to 4 times a year, because having grown up overseas from the ages of 5-14 and having traveled all over, I would find myself missing the different cultures and diversity of people.

I have to say I have met some Amazing people that have led to ongoing relationships personally and business wise, and we still stay in touch via Facebook, email etc...

The world is a big, amazing place and while YES, I obviously advice that you  do your screening and follow your intuition- be willing to open your minds and your hearts and realize that there is a WORLD of collaborations waiting for you at your fingertips...

Our Topic for the day was "DEATH" as my 100 year old grandmother had just passed away on June 8, 2012. The below video was created by one of her sons, my Uncle.

 

Anyways, So I wrote this on my Facebook wall on June 9, 2012

"My 100 Year old Grandma died last night... Lots of Love and Light on her journey beyond and reunion with Grandpa... She lived a very full LIFE... Played the Piano, and was a Opera Singer and Model when she was younger... and had 5 beautiful children... I am happy You are finally at Peace...  Go Explore Your new life..."

LET ME PRE- FRAME THIS with I am NOT going to get into RELIGION, 

and whether there is reincarnation or not etc... nor do I CLAIM TO KNOW what happens once we die... I am NOT a Licensed Psychologist or Doctor... 

I do have had over 25 years experience and certifications in both the Western and Eastern fields of Metaphysics and Medicine and this is just my PERSONAL Views.  So with that, please Enjoy the Journey...

I was TRULY amazed by some of the comments that were posted on my Facebook wall so it made me truly want to do a Podcast on the subject of Death... Here are some of the things I brought up in the Podcast and some of what came up for me after listening to the Podcast etc.... 

Most of the comments on my Facebook wall were the typical:

"Sorry for your loss!!" 

"My condolences to you and your family"

"my deepest sympathies Carly to you and your family"

A FEW Actually GOT IT and wrote:

"What a wonderful tribute to her, Carly. :)"

"I love your attitude toward her transition. I suspect she can now assist you in your journey without the limitation of a physical body. Love and light to you and your family."

So here are SOME OF my thoughts:

Since as Long as I can remember I have always viewed DEATH differently-

Maybe it is because I was a very sick child, teen and even into my earlier 30's.  

Maybe it is because I have had over 26 surgeries.

Maybe it is because I have almost died 3x.

Maybe it is because i worked for Hospice, in Nursing homes, ICU, and CCU for years, years ago. Maybe it is because some of the things I experienced, heard, and saw personally when I almost died and with working with terminally ill children and adults.

Let's begin with that MANY do not like to talk about DEATH, so much so, that a lot of times people have neglected do take care of things like a living will or a will and their arrangements so when they do pass away a lot of chaos and overwhelm is left for those behind.

I have heard people actually say:

-I don't want to discuss your Will because YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DIE...

-I don't want to discuss your Will because I don't want anything from you... 

etc...etc.... Granted I can understand not wanting someone you love to die, and not wanting something from their will... AND... WE must take accountability and responsibility and if we REALLY LOVE our LOVED ONES why would we want them to have to deal with all the aftermath and chaos that gets created when nothing is taken care of...

Some FACTS and IDEAS I have Chosen to live by:

-It is a FACT we are all going to pass on at some point and time so to me to FEAR death is a crazy concept.  Therefore I say Live Fearless, live each day as though it is a miracle. Challenge yourself, live FULL out 100% +++. learn and experience as much as you can.

My daily Motto: is to continually be creating from the space of Learning, Playing, and Growing each and everyday....

-We treat dying animals sometimes more humanely than humans.

Example: Living Wills why can't we HONOR others requests ???

I used to work for Hospice years ago and I have on many occasions heard and even seen families FIGHTING over their Loved ones, they say they LOVE...  If someone has a LIVING WILL and says PLEASE I do NOT want to be kept alive via machines etc if I have NO Quality of life left... Who are we to then once somebody has had a massive stroke or are in a coma etc to judge or challenge that person's wishes ???

We need to move beyond OUR needs and feelings and truly look at the circumstances the person is in and what quality of life they would have, if they even did recover.

We have to be willing to let people, places and things Go... We don't own them, they are people, and experiences...  It is selfish to want to keep someone alive for our own needs and or fear of the unknown.

When we see our animals old, and clearly in pain, we take them to our vet  or have the vet come to us and we let our animals die in peace.  At least this is what I have done in the past.  We must honor the feelings and needs of the our elderly, ill or dying.

The Where:

Imagine if you will creating a space that You would want to pass away in:

Personally when that time comes, I want to be in my OWN BED in my OWN HOME surrounded by Beautiful Flowers, Music playing in the background 247, Beautiful artwork and color all around with Amazing, Awesome friends and loved ones...

And from a financial stand point and as far as I am concerned it is 100% +++ more peaceful and Loving to let someone die in their own Home and bed... You HIRE who YOU want to be around, and You surround yourself and your loved one with all the multi-sensory beauty you can...  Studies have shown they are in less pain and transition quicker and more peacefully...

Our medical insurance companies and our medical system is a topic that I WON'T get into...  That could take months of blogging... LOL...

-Obituaries, Funeral Homes, Cemeteries WHY ???

I look at LIFE as a CELEBRATION...

I look at DEATH as a CELEBRATION...

Thus I PERSONALLY feel obituaries, Funeral Homes, and Cemeteries do NOT FIT in with the VIBE of CELEBRATION... Our culture has made these things to be one of LOSS, Sadness, and not a PRETTY Multi-Sensory Visual or feel as far as I am concerned.

Funeral Homes: WHY NOT have a PARTY a CELEBRATION:

Create a LIVING CELEBRATORY VIDEO of the person, showing the person laughing, hugging, singing, dancing, family etc...  Have the Party at the PERSON'S home, where their Love and Energy still is, in some way... if YOU believe we are all Energy, Vibration, Particules, if you will...  not a Funeral parlor.

Cemeteries: WHY the need for a Cemetery to HONOR or visit someone ???

What happens when you have to MOVE and are no longer in the same city or town where the cemetery is ??? You don't need a Church to Pray, no more than you need a cemetery to talk or visit with your passed Loved ones...just talk, sing, dance, even write from YOUR HEART an any given moment day or night, and I believe that our passed loved ones can feel, hear, and see us...

Obituaries: Personally I don't feel the need for a piece to be in the paper about HOW I died, WHO I was, WHERE I lived, and WHAT Family has survived my death...  First of all, I think it is a Personal thing... Secondly, I personally don't need the world  to know... The people I would want to know, that cared and Loved me would know because they where in the need to know for whatever reason.

To me it is the same as when WE GIVE- we should be Giving from a Place of just choosing to give without any expectations of a return, just because.... I love the show where people go into the streets and help and then write a check for a million dollars to someone just because, they didn't have a need for people to know who they were in the process... I love hearing about stories of anonymous donors and givers...

                              

So these are Just a FEW OF THE KEY POINTS that have stood out for me when listening to the PODCAST... Please Share YOUR THOUGHTS and IDEAS on Death and Dying.... It is TIME we SHARED AND SPOKE instead of FEARING something that we all have experienced on some level with loved ones passing and eventually will happen to us...

-Interview people of all walks of life about their experiences.

-Film random acts of kindness and then interviewing both parties about how it felt to be doing- Giving the act of kindness and the receiving of the act of kindness.

-Interviewing and Filming people, organizations, and companies of all walks of Live as to what Paying it Forward means to them, the why they are doing what they are doing and what they have or are doing actively in their lives to live the "Pay it Forward" lifestyle.

-Filming B Roll Footage of People doing LIVE Acts of Kindness and then interviewing both parties how it felt Giving and Receiving the Pay it Forward.

-Going into the schools and getting more "Pay it Forward" Clubs started like Moorpark H.S. in Moorpark, CA. has done.  Getting Charley Johnson and other Active Pay it Forward People speaking at more High Schools around the Country.

-Ongoing development of the "Love Peace Gratitude" Free HD Streaming Channel in development at:

-Create a weekly POSITIVE on-line TV talk show from all of the people we have interviewed and filmed on our Love Peace Gratitude TV Channel

20% Putting aside for Book series publication production from the stories

PRODUCTION CREW: Producer, Director, Cinematographer, Line Producer, Unit Production Manager, Production Coordinator, PA's, Gaffer, Grips etc.

POST PRODUCTION COSTS: Soundtrack, Sound mixing and editing, Color timing, Digital Graphic Artist, DVD Graphics and Production, Marketing, Distribution, Festival entry Fees etc.

MY BIG PASSIONATE WHY:  

What has driven me beyond Passionate to do this:

One: 
 The Pay it Forward Experience Foundation was Founded by Charley Johnson who I have had the honor of interviewing and spending some quality time with... Since then my RADAR for Pay it Forward people, acts, organizations etc... has deeply magnified not that it wasn't a daily priority before I met Charley...

This has driven me to become massively PASSIONATE about making this Documentary a stellar resource for all of these amazing people and or organizations and companies that are doing Paying it Forward acts and programs etc... YET nobody knows about each other...

Two: 
Paying it Forward has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, even my mother would tell me stories of when I was young of me giving quarters to people.  The further why... I was born a very ill child from the time I was born, so ill; there are no baby pictures of me until I was a month old. Challenges of youth from Scarlet fever taking my hearing temporarily, massive loss of vision till this day and a roller coaster ride of a cycle I needed to process and break which took me until my husband committed suicide in 1998. Before that my life was a ride of Anorexia, bulimia, massive Sexual, Verbal, and Physical Abuse, dysfunctional family relationships and marriages, Attempted suicides, massive pain, 26 surgeries to date as of 2012, too many near death experiences, wealth, debt, etc...  I even worked at World Trade Center Tower #2 missed it by an hour, I went to work one hour later because a client called in the night before to cancel our appointment and normally I would have still gone in early because I only commuted into WTC, Monday thru Thursday's. That day I choose not to go in early and got to the train station and they said you are NOT going to work today... 

No matter what was going on in my life I was still a very Loving, Passionate, Giving, Positive person.  Yes, I am human and I did go thru my phases of intense anger... Although I unfortunately would take that anger out on my myself, my body... Thus the yo-yoing from 95 lbs to a breaking point of 200 lbs. etc... about 3x.

So my BIG Why is if I can still be standing, alive, passionate, loving, and positive and I did my recovery literally ALMOST by myself ANYBODY can do it AND I have learned beyond a shadow of a doubt that it takes Authenticity, Trust, Compassion, Passion, Sharing, Collaboration and TEAM WORK to do it...  Thus this Documentary showing amazing people of all walks of life impacting others thru "Paying it Forward - The Ripple Effect"

Global Connections and Business via the World of Social Media

 
I posted my Conscious Business Collaboration logo for this post, because to me this is what our Global internet is all about...

Alex Mandossian today via his Facebook page posted a GREAT POST. 
He shared this link:
5 Tools for Turning Social Media Relationships Into In-Person Connections

Alex posted:

"How true is it that many of the people you connect with online never cross over to real-life! Just think about all the missed opportunities you've had. Well now, there are tools that can help you make those connections."

And then asked people to post and share their stories.

Alex replied with this comment "your story is so inspirational! I hope that you share this story with as many people as you can, because it is true! You can make some of the best connections with strangers, you just have to be open to meeting them and put the fear away."

So here is what I wrote:
"I travel all over interviewing and promoting speaks, authors, musicians etc... and I have to say some of most amazing stories have started with Social Media Sites like FB and Twitter where somebody has reached out to me or I them, and a conversation gets started... One in particular when I was living in Hawaii for 3 yrs. I had a client whom we had been talking via phone for over 3 yrs and worked together for over 3 yrs and when I just recently moved back to CA and had the opportunity to fly to Florida to interview some speakers and she just happened to live only 30 minutes from where I was going to be we met for the very first time and it was AMAZING... It was like I have known her my entire life... The initial HUG was magical and the conversation was like WHY on earth didn't we do this before... So many people are afraid to met complete strangers, I have flown all the way across the US to meet some people... Bottom line YOU Never know, follow your intuition, some of the most amazing Relationships, friendship, business and other come out of the wonderful world of Social Media and the internet... At the end of the day I live my life from the mindset of Sharing, Collaboration, and Team work and from there anything can be achieved... and some wonderful relationships that can be live Transforming... Enjoy the Journey..."

I would like to add to that, that when I lived in Santa Monica, before
I moved to Hawaii for 3 years, I used to have a 3bed/3bath place and 
I would always LOVE to post an ad on Craigslist for my spare room for 
World Travelers to come stay.  I would do this about 3 to 4 times a year, because having grown up overseas from the ages of 5-14 and having 
traveled all over I would find myself missing the different cultures and diversity of people.

I have to say I have met some Amazing people that have led to ongoing relationships personally and business wise, and we still stay in touch via Facebook, email etc...

The world is a big, amazing place and while YES, I obviously advice that you  do your screening and follow your intuition- be willing to open your minds and your hearts and realize that there is a WORLD of collaborations waiting for you at your fingertips...
