Life Obligation or Opportunity ?

I had Just Thanked someone for sharing a Post of of mine and this is what he wrote back: "You are among the few who I follow, as you represent that "know, like, trust factor. Wherever I see your brand, I'm going to read—wanted to click because I know, like, and trust your brand. So you are always welcome, Carly!!!!"

So this was my Reply:
"Thank You Sooo Much, I Live to Empower, Inspire, Educate others... It is my Life, My Passion, My Love, my Work which to me is Playtime... What more JOY can I have in my life than where I help others, Laugh, Smile, Grow etc... have an amazing Sunday..."

So My Question to You is:  Do You See Life and or things that happen to You or that You have to do in your Life as Obligation or Opportunity ?

Everything that happens to You or that You have to do in this LIFE in my personal Opinion is an Opportunity...  

An Extreme Example: I grew up with Abuse of all Kinds which has affected my body Massively Physically which created many REAL Medical Issues = 27 Surgeries, Emotionally I had to Learn to navigate Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Spiritually spent Years Questioning "WHY". 

CHOICES: Hate, Anger, Abuse,Victimhood  etc...
Yes, when I was Younger I did go thru my Years of hate and anger, however
I never hurt someone Physically.  We are all human so I would never say I have never hurt someone Emotionally and Or Spiritually, we all have at some point in our life's.

The OPPORTUNITY: 
To spend my Life Inspiring, Empowering, Educating others, on Everything I studied, Learned etc...
I Love to help others Discover: 
*Western and Eastern Health as YES they both have a purpose at certain phases of Growth, Illness etc...
*The Mind Body Spirit Interconnectedness
*How to bring Consciousness into Business- Hence the terminology
Conscious Business Collaboration.
*How to tap into their Multi-Sensory- a powerful tool for Expanding our
Awareness of all of the OPPORTUNITIES that is all around us each and every day...
*Effective communication- hence Compassionate Passionate Communications
And Many others things...

Also REALIZE WE ARE:

All of Life is CHOICES.... And WE have the OPPORTUNITY to Write, Re-Write Our stories at any given moment.

Another Example of Opportunity: 

My Last Surgery, while in the Hospital I had CHOICES....

To be Mean, Moody, Not honor a Prior Obligation etc...

Yes I was in Massive Pain... However... Instead I Choose Inspiration and found Opportunity to Smile, Laugh, help others in other hospital bed, help Empower others and even gave out Pay it Forward Bracelets to the Staff that were amazing AND...  Honored my obligation to a Prior Radio interview only 10 days after Massive Surgery.

Life Can be like A Box of Crayons...

Life Can be like A Box of Crayons...

I had a Dream last night and literally woke up with you have to write a blog post about "Life is like a box of Crayons" so after lots of other editing etc... I had to do today, here it is night time once again and so we begin with...

Why Life is and can be like a box of crayons...

Have you ever watched a Child with Crayons, truly watched them...  

Ever child is different:

-Some Kids have to keep all of their crayons is a certain order...

-Other kids pour them out all over the floor or table...

-Other kids pour them out and then make different piles

to Categorize the colors...

-Some kids even go so far as to sort the crayons and actually

Choose all of the colors they like and throw the rest out.

-Some kids request a plastic bin to keep all of their crayons

in so they dig in and grab the ones they want.

-Some have to keep the crayons in the box at all times, and just

pull one out one crayon at a time, use it and then put it back in...

-Some kids will color using every single color...

-Some kids will only color with one color...

-Some color in the lines...

-Some color outside the lines...

So....

How does this apply to Life ?

How doesn't it apply to Life, would be my question ?

How we approach Anything - A relationship, a business project 

is unique to how we Process...

Are we Left brained or Right brained ?

Are we Auditory, Visual, Kinesthetic, Audio Digital etc....

Now... Imagine if we STRETCHED Ourselves and made ourselves Choose or Do something differently...

-Practice writing with our other hand...

-Choose to get a bit more organized - linear...

-Choose to not only read that book, however next time, to also listen to the book via Audio.

-We as a culture do NOT use a large portion of our brains...

-As we have gotten older we have become FIXED on our points of view.

Studies have shown that if we STRETCH ourselves we engage and or train, wire if you will different pathways in our brains, therefore gaining access to further creativity and problem solving etc...

I invite everyone to get creative and messy...  To Literally Learn, Play and Grow like when we were a kid... Get Silly, Laugh, Sing, Dance... and YES COLOR...

My invitation or challenge to you would be to do this ONCE as soon as possible by yourself... Then do this Once a week with your kids, friends or Team...

Now I want you to think about after you did this by yourself-

***How did it feel doing that ?

***Where you attempting to clean up the entire time ?

***Did you go to the place of Judgement - and say this is silly

I am not doing this ?

Pain Attention to what came up for you...

My Favorite has been to hold a weekly Meeting - That day is dress casual day and you have a meeting that is with Crayons, Paints, Markers, Silly Scissors, Blackboards etc.. and each week the team picks a project to do it on... I have personally seen some amazing, awesome, brilliant ideas, campaigns, problems solved in some of these Colorful brainstorming mastermind meetings - sessions...

It is amazing what an amazing positive impact this can have.  I have led many of these at corporate trainings.  Yes, you heard me RIGHT... Corporate Trainings...

Here is some of the results and or impact it has had:

-Greater Creativity

-Group Rapport

-Looking forward to the Weekly meetings

-Outside of the box thinking

-Teamwork

-Sharing

-Collaboration

-A more Positive Atmosphere

Conscious Parenting and Our Children - Our Future - Imagine if...

I don't know who the exact author is, I have googled it and cannot find who the quote was originated from... However the quote is this: 

"An anthropologist proposed a game to African tribe kids. He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told them that whoever got there first won the sweet fruits. When he told them to run they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats. When he asked them why they had run like that as one could have had all the fruits for himself they said: UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?

UBUNTU in the Xhosa culture means: “I am because we are”.

When I saw this, picture and quote, I wrote this piece on Children and Education called "Imagine"

Imagine if All SCHOOLS taught from the Space of Heart Centered Co-Creational Global Consciousness and Taught and Lived from the Space of ONE.

Everything was taught from a mindset of: Teamwork, Sharing, Giving, Global  Unity, Peace and Collaboration, Friendship, and consciousness. 

All children were assigned an accountability partner of the opposite sex.
So they would learn how to deal with male and female dynamics energetically, emotionally etc...

Imagine if All Children were taught and raised in a Heart Centered Intentional Energetic Space a Village, Community, A large Campus if you will... where the everyday values where:  Love, Paying it Forward, Authenticity, Creativity, Co-Creation, Sharing, Collaboration, Teamwork, Compassionate Passionate Communications, Abundance in all areas of their life, out of the box thinking, Teamwork and more...

Imagine the classroom Environment Filled with: Color, Sound Vibratory Music Aromatherapy, Plants, Animals, having all children from Infants to Graduation all on one Campus.  A campus that had fruit trees, vegetable gardens, a Mini Farm. 

Their was a senior center on site. By having children from Infancy thru seniors on one campus they would learn what the whole cycle of life was about. Children would rotate time in the nursery and preschool area to the senior center so they could actively learn how to care for infants and toddlers, and learn patience and compassion from the elderly.

Their Bodies Nourished with: Alive, Whole, Alkaline, High Vibrational Foods every 3 hours to keep their Minds awake and alert.

Their Minds, Bodies and Spirits Nurtured thru:

Arts, Global Music, Compassionate Passionate Communications, Self Healing Energetics, Eastern and Western- Energetics, Healing, Philosophies, Theologies, and Psychology. 

Imagine the course curriculum included:

The Art of Hearing, The Art of Seeing, The Art of Listening, The Art of Feeling,

Sexuality, Sacred relationships, Marriage, Conscious Pregnancies, Conscious Parenting, Conscious Business Collaborations, Love Peace Gratitude, Compassionate Passionate Communications, Entrepreneurship, Creative Financing, Bartering, Organization, Aromatherapy, Energy Healing, Sacred Geometry-Math, Creative writing and story telling, Herbs, Flower Essences, Whole Food Nutrition, Gardening etc...

Their day began with: Body Movement then open sharing, into Creative writing and story telling, followed by Art and Music, Sacred Geometry-Math,

followed by different courses that they got to choose, because it was an interest that they were good at either hobby wise and or business wise etc...

They were taught Conscious Business Collaborations:

What that meant and the values of:

Integrity, Referrals, Sharing, Teamwork, Co-Creating with others….

Learning what the real meaning of Win-Win meant.

Doing what they Love...

Giving because you choice to and for no other reason...

Giving Massive Value...

Customer Service is paramount...

Imagine...

And then Alex Mandossian asked people to post and share their stories.

So I posted a reply and Alex replied with this comment: "your story is so inspirational! I hope that you share this story with as many people as you can, because it is true! You can make some of the best connections with strangers, you just have to be open to meeting them and put the fear away."


So here is what I wrote:
"I travel all over interviewing and promoting speaks, authors, musicians etc... and I have to say some of most amazing stories have started with Social Media Sites like FB and Twitter where somebody has reached out to me or I them, and a conversation gets started... One in particular when I was living in Hawaii for 3 yrs. I had a client whom we had been talking via phone for over 3 yrs and worked together for over 3 yrs and when I just recently moved back to CA and had the opportunity to fly to Florida to interview some speakers and she just happened to live only 30 minutes from where I was going to be we met for the very first time and it was AMAZING... It was like I have known her my entire life... The initial HUG was magical and the conversation was like WHY on earth didn't we do this before... So many people are afraid to met complete strangers, I have flown all the way across the US to meet some people... Bottom line YOU Never know, follow your intuition, some of the most amazing Relationships, friendship, business and other come out of the wonderful world of Social Media and the internet... At the end of the day I live my life from the mindset of Sharing, Collaboration, and Team work and from there anything can be achieved... and some wonderful relationships that can be live Transforming... Enjoy the Journey..."

I would like to add to that, that when I lived in Santa Monica, before I moved to Hawaii for 3 years, I used to have a 3bed/3bath place and I would always LOVE to post an ad on Craigslist for my spare room for World Travelers to come stay.  I would do this about 3 to 4 times a year, because having grown up overseas from the ages of 5-14 and having traveled all over, I would find myself missing the different cultures and diversity of people.

I have to say I have met some Amazing people that have led to ongoing relationships personally and business wise, and we still stay in touch via Facebook, email etc...

The world is a big, amazing place and while YES, I obviously advice that you  do your screening and follow your intuition- be willing to open your minds and your hearts and realize that there is a WORLD of collaborations waiting for you at your fingertips...

The Internet, Sharing, Family, Social Media and... Authenticity

These are truly interesting times in the Social Media World...

Do You trust yourself and others ???

Are You willing to meet people from across the world you 

have never met ???

Are You using Social Media authentically ???

Do You respond yourself or use automation ???

Is Social Media just a numbers game to You ???

Do You say one thing on the internet and then in your private world do another ???

Are You really where you say you are ???

What type of Social Media person are You- Introvert or Extrovert ???

To me the World is my family, and I have met some AMAZING people from around the world on the internet.  I will share a story of how amazing... I just relocated back to CA. from the Big Island of Hawaii where I lived for 3 yrs..

While I lived in Hawaii I met an amazing person whom I became good friends with over the internet, we talked almost everyday, yet we never had physically met, well one day on a business trip where I was supposed to stay feel thru, and YES, I could have stayed at a hotel, yet as I sat on a chair after I got my luggage with the news of my stay with friends having fallen thru and got really quiet, and all of a sudden I had this inner voice say call "_______".  

I called this person and they were like absolutely, and it was the most amazing, fun, in depth conversations ever...  Now mind you, his friends and my friends were telling each of us are you YOU NUTS this person could be crazy, dangerous etc...  All you have done is talk on the phone... 

My point is ONE must use their intuition, FEEL from their HEART not your belly where the butterflies of fear live... I have traveled across the country to meet people I have never met in person- males and females... One must take risks in live... Be daring, bold to expand, learn and grow...  

I am truly happy I am for the most part a fearless person, now; I am not saying I don't have certain things that I don't like or am not afraid of like "SNAKES" LOL... Just saying I don't live from a place of fear in my daily live... and I am sooo GRATEFUL for that...  

The funny thing is, on the phone and in person people tell me WOW... You are one of the most high energy, positive, passionate persons I have met,  and would have to agree that when I am on stage, performing, speaking, in front of the camera or live I am quiet the extrovert.... Yet once I am settled in I am very much the introvert, quiet homebody... I think it is because I use so much energy when I am in introvert mode I really relish and enjoy the quiet introvert time Hm... Not to say that even when I am introvert mode I am still not happy, passionate or energetic, I am just in a quieter more introverted state.

I have to say that in today's world of Social Media, I think it has truly helped those that are primarily introverts reach out and connect with others.  I also think it has helped the disabled population and those who can't get out,  have interaction and develop a circle of friends and build a support system.

On the other hand, we have people that have become so attached to Social Media they do nothing except surf on the computer and it consumes their life,  and they become shut ins... So at what point does Social Media become a problem ???

And... to what degree are you being honest when you are socializing in the Social Media world.  I have found some of Social Media to leave a BAD TASTE in my mouth because Social Media has become a numbers game, a score and some folks are NOT being authentic and honest.  

Example: Foursquare: It is meant to share where You are, what you do, and tips for others, instead I have seen people just to raise their scores checking into places they aren't even at.... 

Empire Avenue: People clicking on missions and not doing the missions, just collecting the Eaves...

WHAT the heck is that all about... Come on people... Are you that desperate to be the leader on a board and what does that say about you ?  

And... then of course we have all of the computer programs to do the work for us, auto responders etc... again which I can understand if You are a large company or famous... Yet my take on that is if you have a large company or are famous PAY a Virtual assistant with a POSITIVE caring, amazing energy can do attitude to handle it for you, so there is still a HUMAN element... Ok another pet peeve, Please CREATE Your OWN replies, in Your OWN words, so that it reflects YOU and not the assistant's words or style...  GEEZ... We are human beings after all that like real HUMAN caring and interaction...

Solution: one thing that I do is I have created all of these replies and action steps and have them in my email draft and a doc on my desktop so my assistant can just cut and paste my replies and I also have her leave me the DIRECT emails for me.  And... I have a list of people the VA's know to leave for me, I communicate directly with my inner circle people...  Why is it called SOCIAL MEDIA if we aren't willing to interact or socialize with others and truly show we actually care...

Ok the last thing that really drives me insane about the tech world... How many of You are silently cursing in your head when you call a number and you get these LONG messages with Please select option 1, 2, 3 etc... or a computer voice saying "how may I assist you" ? And then the voice says, Sorry I didn't get that, did you say this... PLEASE, that is such a WASTE of time... I would much rather have a live voice who knows the answers or where to direct me then wasting my time on a phone with a computer when half the time I am still going to have to speak to a live person anyway and I just wasted 10 minutes navigating the options and sorry I didn't understand that, let me connect you to an operator... LOL...  Yes, there is the short cut hit "OOO" for operator a ton of times LOL... and eventually after a few repeated "OOO's" you finally get connected.

So what was the POINT in writing this Blog...  The point was to bring to everyone's awareness, are they truly being authentic in the game of Social Media, are they truly creating Collaborations, sharing, and team work, or are they strictly in it for a higher klout score and automation...   

Please leave Comments on what your feelings are about Social Media, Automation, and the Numbers game...  

Also, if You have some unique tips and tools on how to solve some of these issues, share them...
