I Choose Love, What do You Choose ???


Everyday in life we have choices...  
Example: We can be driving and somebody cuts us off, and in that very moment we can choose to get pissed off and let it ruin our day or let it go and move on with our day.   


I finally got clear that when I am driving I like to either listen to audio books where I am engaged in listening and learning something or to listen to music that I Love and I just start singing my heart out...  That way no matter what happens when I am driving, I already am in a good state of happiness and can shift right back into that space if something unpleasant does happen when I am driving...  

At the end of the day, Life is Precious and can be gone in a blink of a second... I used to work at World Trade Center Tower 2 and missed the planes by ONE hour, because a client of mine cancelled our appointment the night before. Normally, I still would have gone in early except that one day I decided oh heck, why not sleep in an extra 30 minutes...  I used to commute from the NJ side to the NY side 4 days a week for work so that extra sleep was something that was much appreciated as those 4 days were 12 hour days.  

In my opinion life is too short to get pissed off at things you sometimes don't have control over.  I attempt to live my Life from a space of Heart centered Compassion and LOVE as much as possible...

The Internet, Sharing, Family, Social Media and... Authenticity





These are truly interesting times in the Social Media World...

Do You trust yourself and others ???
Are You willing to meet people from across the world you 
have never met ???

Are You using Social Media authentically ???

Do You respond yourself or use automation ???


Is Social Media just a numbers game to You ???

Do You say one thing on the internet and then in your private world do another ???

Are You really where you say you are ???

What type of Social Media person are You- Introvert or Extrovert ???

To me the World is my family, and I have met some AMAZING people from around the world on the internet.  I will share a story of how amazing... I just relocated back to CA. from the Big Island of Hawaii where I lived for 3 yrs..

While I lived in Hawaii I met an amazing person whom I became good friends with over the internet, we talked almost everyday, yet we never had physically met, well one day on a business trip where I was supposed to stay feel thru, and YES, I could have stayed at a hotel, yet as I sat on a chair after I got my luggage with the news of my stay with friends having fallen thru and got really quiet, and all of a sudden I had this inner voice say call "_______".  

I called this person and they were like absolutely, and it was the most amazing, fun, in depth conversations ever...  Now mind you, his friends and my friends were telling each of us are you YOU NUTS this person could be crazy, dangerous etc...  All you have done is talk on the phone... 

My point is ONE must use their intuition, FEEL from their HEART not your belly where the butterflies of fear live... I have traveled across the country to meet people I have never met in person- males and females... One must take risks in live... Be daring, bold to expand, learn and grow...  

I am truly happy I am for the most part a fearless person, now; I am not saying I don't have certain things that I don't like or am not afraid of like "SNAKES" LOL... Just saying I don't live from a place of fear in my daily live... and I am sooo GRATEFUL for that...  

The funny thing is, on the phone and in person people tell me WOW... You are one of the most high energy, positive, passionate persons I have met,  and would have to agree that when I am on stage, performing, speaking, in front of the camera or live I am quiet the extrovert.... Yet once I am settled in I am very much the introvert, quiet homebody... I think it is because I use so much energy when I am in introvert mode I really relish and enjoy the quiet introvert time Hm... Not to say that even when I am introvert mode I am still not happy, passionate or energetic, I am just in a quieter more introverted state.

I have to say that in today's world of Social Media, I think it has truly helped those that are primarily introverts reach out and connect with others.  I also think it has helped the disabled population and those who can't get out,  have interaction and develop a circle of friends and build a support system.

On the other hand, we have people that have become so attached to Social Media they do nothing except surf on the computer and it consumes their life,  and they become shut ins... So at what point does Social Media become a problem ???

And... to what degree are you being honest when you are socializing in the Social Media world.  I have found some of Social Media to leave a BAD TASTE in my mouth because Social Media has become a numbers game, a score and some folks are NOT being authentic and honest.  

Example: Foursquare: It is meant to share where You are, what you do, and tips for others, instead I have seen people just to raise their scores checking into places they aren't even at.... 

Empire Avenue: People clicking on missions and not doing the missions, just collecting the Eaves...

WHAT the heck is that all about... Come on people... Are you that desperate to be the leader on a board and what does that say about you ?  

And... then of course we have all of the computer programs to do the work for us, auto responders etc... again which I can understand if You are a large company or famous... Yet my take on that is if you have a large company or are famous PAY a Virtual assistant with a POSITIVE caring, amazing energy can do attitude to handle it for you, so there is still a HUMAN element... Ok another pet peeve, Please CREATE Your OWN replies, in Your OWN words, so that it reflects YOU and not the assistant's words or style...  GEEZ... We are human beings after all that like real HUMAN caring and interaction...

Solution: one thing that I do is I have created all of these replies and action steps and have them in my email draft and a doc on my desktop so my assistant can just cut and paste my replies and I also have her leave me the DIRECT emails for me.  And... I have a list of people the VA's know to leave for me, I communicate directly with my inner circle people...  Why is it called SOCIAL MEDIA if we aren't willing to interact or socialize with others and truly show we actually care...

Ok the last thing that really drives me insane about the tech world... How many of You are silently cursing in your head when you call a number and you get these LONG messages with Please select option 1, 2, 3 etc... or a computer voice saying "how may I assist you" ? And then the voice says, Sorry I didn't get that, did you say this... PLEASE, that is such a WASTE of time... I would much rather have a live voice who knows the answers or where to direct me then wasting my time on a phone with a computer when half the time I am still going to have to speak to a live person anyway and I just wasted 10 minutes navigating the options and sorry I didn't understand that, let me connect you to an operator... LOL...  Yes, there is the short cut hit "OOO" for operator a ton of times LOL... and eventually after a few repeated "OOO's" you finally get connected.

So what was the POINT in writing this Blog...  The point was to bring to everyone's awareness, are they truly being authentic in the game of Social Media, are they truly creating Collaborations, sharing, and team work, or are they strictly in it for a higher klout score and automation...

The Story Of Carly Alyssa Thorne From SOS to CAT... and WHY I can help YOU...

I have been continously asked why and how I am so positive, have this much energy, passion etc... So here is a bit of the why..

Who is Carly Alyssa Thorne and how did she get here ???
The Journey Called My Life of SOS... to CAT.. 

Yes, this is LONG...  AND... If You Choose to take the Journey with me, I Promise YOU, you will have many Aha moments. You will GET the Reason Why I am all About TRANSFORMATIONS of the Mind, Body, and Spirit... and why I am so Passionate and live full out.

I will not be mentioning any full names or places to honor people's Privacy. I am THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL to a select few, yes few... that came to my side and helped me to find the Light in my time of need and much darkness...  You find out real quickly who your true friends are in the darkest of times.

This full bio is here to give you a a sense of who I am and why I can talk from a place of experience.  I feel, it is important to share one's story ONLY from the perspective that if I CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU... 
NOT, for your pity, not to stay in the past, or dwell on it. I am Extremely Grateful for my Past, it has made me into the Strong, Compassionate, Healthy, Giving, Person I am today... I have chosen to share my story to EMPOWER others to BE THE BEST them EVER... and with the HOPE... That they will ALWAYS choose themselves... CHOOSE LIFE... 

I have been told by many Bosses, Friends, Ex's and More that I am:
 ***A cross between an amazing Old Soul Mind*** 
***An Angel Caretaker Heart***
***An old fashioned housewife with Zen*** 
***A Spirit with Spit and fire, minus the Scorpion Sting...
***Add a heaping dose of LOVE...
***A bit bull when I need to be, to get things done... 
***A Butterfly that is always Transforming... and ever evolving...

SKILL SET WISE: 
Keeping in mind I waa born in 1964 folks... I have spent the last 25 years wearing many hats at the same time so to Speak and have always been one to have MULTIPLE balls juggling in the air with grace, ease, and joy, and sometimes NOT with grace, ease, and joy...  I think it is the PRODUCER Energy in Me... Thankfully I learned to Embrace and LOVE the Concepts of sharing, collaboration, co-creating and TEAMWORK... That was a lesson that did take years in the making LOL... as the younger me when I started working right out of High School, was of the mentality that I was a lone island struggling against the current all by myself due to a lack of trust of others due to many experiences you will hear about below.

MATE and HOUSEWIFE:
***Love to Cook, Clean, and take care of Loved ones... 
***I am a pamperer, Hm...
***I think I was a GEISHA in a previous Life... LOL...    

So right now I am sure there are those thinking NO way she could have been good at all of those things and or successful at them.  I was a fighter, a survivor, strong, determined so yes, I actually was really good at my professions. I was Certified, Trained, had amazing jobs with Top executives, Companies, and People from all around the World. Did I have great testimonies and large salaries... YUP... Did I have my UP and DOWNS... YUP... Was I Passionate about all these things, Yes I was...

So now you are thinking OK, so what is the problem ?  HOW COULD I HAVE all of these things in one LIFETIME even maybe; at the same time and be HAPPY... HEALTHY... SUCCESSFUL... and ABUNDANT...  HM... Better yet the question WAS ???  How come every time I finally got everything back to together again and things were AWESOME... BOOM... There it would go again... I did say I had my ups and downs, I never said I wasn't good or successful at my professions, because I was, the PROBLEM was it would only last so long.

My training would tell me I had a very busy monkey mind full of old outdated unconscious beliefs running around in there taking me out at a very chance it got.  Until we are truly willing to LET go and Surrender and CHANGE, Nothing will Change in our lives... We just keep repeating the same patterns over and over and over until we get so tired of living a certain way OR something HUGE happens in our life's to wake us up.  Ex. Car accident, illness etc.

What I am going to share with You is NOT Pretty...Yup baring it all, laying all the cards on the table...

However, in sharing my story others can see that anyone can Achieve, Overcome and become Anything and Everything they want to BE- NO MATTER WHAT... Ultimately, at some point and time in our life's, it all boils down to CHOICE...

WHO AND WHERE I WAS THEN to get to the present:
I was born in Yonkers, NY in 1964 with the birth given name of the initials of SOS... This was very symbolic of my childhood and my life growing up.  I was always seeking help, in trouble, confused, and dismayed with Life.  I had MANY health, family and relationship problems...TODAY, I wouldn't call them problems, Tough LOVE and lessons of self growth.

I left the United States when I was 5 years old and then went on to live in Mexico, Venezuela and Brazil until the age of 14. I returned to the U.S. in 9th grade of High School and from there Lived all over NY State, NJ and Beyond...

I am THANKFUL and GRATEFUL NOW for the Journey of much travel, Yet as a youth, I was angry, in crisis mode all of the time and Sooo NOT thankful. TODAY, all of that travel has made me an individual that is able to Ebb and Flow and adapt to any given environment or situation and to be able to THINK on my Feet... It has given me the respect and knowledge of the many different cultures and to acknowledge all Beings as individuals, yet the same on a Soul level.

I look at COACHING, MENTORING and TEACHING as one MUST come from experience to be able to truly help someone... and I mean Direct experience of the things they are Mentoring or Consulting about...

How can someone Help You about certain things unless they themselves have experienced similar issues ? Your experience is unique YES...  However, at least someone can Empath, Understand, if they themselves have experienced it, to their own degree. I am saying this because, as THANKFUL and GRATEFUL AS I AM for my LIFE... It was NOT by far an EASY path...  I look back Now and realize the PATH I CHOOSE, was my path of Strength, Understanding, and Compassion, for myself and others, and to be able to use my gifts to help others get out of their Maze of darkness as I did.

To CHOOSE Life, To Say YES, I am bigger than ALL of this... Everything has beauty, even within the darkness..  I grew up with severe Sexual, Verbal and Physical Abuse to the extend that at one time I was on Social Security Disability and had severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I went through years of treatment and was on many western medicines, even hospitalized over 4 times, twice for suicide attempts. I had repeated weight problems from Anorexia 95 lbs, which, with my frame- which is big boned, and athletic is not good, to bulimia and overweight of a breaking point of 200 lbs. I went thru this cycle 3x.

To add to all of this my mother had German Measles when she was pregnant with, and they told her to abort me because I might have this or that etc... She didn't Thank God, as I am here... And... I was very ill as a child so much so there are no baby pictures of me until I was a few months old.

Starting at the age of 16 entering into serious dysfunctional relationships... Leading to 3 Marriages to continue the abuse cycle from my childhood as I knew no different  and the 4th marriage which was beyond abusive to the point I almost died and my husband committing suicide.  WOW... NOW THAT IS A MOUTHFUL.. To top it all off. I was riddled with Medical Problems since I was born and I stopped counting after I hit surgery #17 for medical reasons all within 15 years. In total now 26 surgeries as of 11/2012 in a lifetime...

Further self study into the Mind, Body, Spirit connection and body memories would prove that some of this was MY attempt of removing the pain and memories from my body that was riddled with fear and pain all of the time.  My body created all sorts of problems medically- Severe Endometriosis, degenerative joint bone disease in all major joints etc... etc... etc... 

I am NOT saying they weren't legitimate surgeries they were for REAL things, and I almost Died, Numerous times...  One of my lessons in massively studying Western and Eastern medicine and philosophies is they both have a purpose and a place.  

I realized Years Later as I went thru years and layers of Self-Discovery and The Mind, Body, Spirit connection that I created the disease in my body... A way to Deal and cope with all of the Fear, Anger, Sadness my Inner Child felt... And at the time the Unwillingness to Truly Forgive SELF and Others for everything that I experienced, felt, went thru etc...

The Ultimate breaking of the cycle and AHA moment came when my late husband died- Committed Suicide in 1998. I HAD A CHOICE to make, DO I CHOOSE LIFE OR DEATH ??? Do I CHOOSE to let everyone blame me ??? Beat myself up... Feel Guilty, Kill myself ???

I smiled and Laughed a lot, I was Great at Facial Masks... I had always been the Healer, Healing others, picking partners that needed to be saved. I had never TRULY saved or healed myself though, until that one fated day, when  I finally CHOOSE ME...  I CHOOSE LIFE...

My late husband was my BIGGEST GIFT... I THANK HIM IMMENSELY FOR THAT GIFT OF CHOICE....and WAKING MY ASS UP... TRUST ME, when I tell you the CHOICE was not EASY... I had to stand Alone, strong, let go of old friends, family members, the STORIES... Stand UP to the Past, Stand up to Family members and STAND firm and CHOOSING ME... AND also take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for my Part in the allowing of the Co-Creation of it all...

I had to be willing to EXPOSE all the SKELETONS of the past, even my OWN demons, and errors.  I had to be willing to CHOOSE to face up to MY STUFF. Be willing to SHOW UP and NOT Care what others thought of ME in Sharing all of this... Hiding was NO Longer an OPTION for me... 

NOW AM I SAYING THAT I AM ALL OF A SUDDEN SAVED,  DONE... Of course NOT... I am still and will always be Evolving, Choosing, making mistakes along the way... THANK GOD... Who would want to be Perfect..

THE CHAOS within and right before his death...Thankfully I Lost it all within 6 months, by doing the Following.


My other HUGE AHA, and Awakening to HOW truly PRECIOUS LIFE is and how short it can be was when I used to work at the WORLD TRADE CENTER... I was a Wellness-Fitness Consultant and Trainer... I was one of their specialized Medical trainers, meaning I dealt with the clients that had major medical issues.  I still have my locker keys... WOW... what a day... Talk about a wake up CALL...



I was on my way to work that day... My client had called the night before to cancel our session, choosing to take one more vacation day to relax at his beach house. SO.... I went to work one hour later because of that. I was at the train station when the towers got hit. Normally when my client cancelled in the past I would have still gone in early and had a good training session for myself... SO YES, I AM EXTREMELY THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL TO be Healthy, Happy and ALIVE...

SO HOW DID I DO IT ???
Well, first I had to make some HUGE life changing decisions. I had to let go of the People, places, and things that I was surrounded by that were negative and kept me bound to the things and experiences that supported my old outdated beliefs about who I was and what I could or could not have, Be and Do. And like I talk about in the other article I wrote, I am constantly Learning, Playing, and Growing each and every day... I Choose to be Around Positive, Happy, Healthy, Abundant People, Places and things...

I Listen, Read, take courses on things that EXPAND my Mind, Body, and Spirit... I Nourish myself with Positive, Inspiring, Spiritual People and things...  I have kept my weight off, yes I am human; and I have gone +5-10 or -minus 5-10... AND... have always brought myself back to sanity. 

I have good healthy Co-Creational friendships, The WORLD, The Universe is my Family... I Surround myself with Amazing and Inspiring Teachers, and Mentors, and just AWESOME SOULS all of the time. I surround myself everyday, every minute as often as I can with Positive, Healthy, and Abundant people and SItuations... And when I say ABUNDANT... I am NOT just talking $$$... I have HAD LOTS of MONEY... I have LOST LOTS of MONEY... AND I have ALWAYS Re-Created LOTS OF MONEY... Money ONLY Makes YOU MORE of what YOU Already are... If You were miserable before MONEY... More money is only going to  make YOU more miserable... My LESSON around MONEY was KEEPING IT... LOL... I was the ULTIMATE giver... Buying everything for EVERYONE, Yet Spent Little on myself... 

I also am a HUGE BELIEVER in Spending money on People and Global Issues now WHILE I am ALIVE.... I have NO NEED to die with HUGE Wealth, I want to See it Spent and Used while I am ALIVE to see the GOOD it is doing... And in the END... I am DEAD, I have NO Need to leave a LEGACY... or for the ESTATE to be fighting with Governments over Estate Taxes etc... People are always talking about what they want to be REMEMBERED for...  And I am LIKE... HOW about NOW ?
The NOW is WHERE We currently are... Of course I want to LEAVE this Earth-Planet better than I Found it... And, I want to do MASSIVE Good while I am Alive...

I CHOOSE TO LIVE MY LIFE WITH as much SPUNK, VIGOR, HAPPINESS, HEALTH and ABUNDANCE as I CAN... WHY ABUNDANCE ??? SO that I may GIVE a HAND UP, Educate, Mentor, and help thousands of people, and organizations- help them to get out of the maze of negativity, disease, and just plain LACK MENTALITY in all areas of their life.

So I am asking YOU: TO CHOOSE YOU TODAY... I AM ASKING YOU: TO CHOOSE LIFE TODAY... I AM ASKING YOU: TO SAY YES I CAN... Have it all...  Health, Abundance, Happiness and Sooooo much more... YOU CAN have BOTH AND... It doesn't have to be THIS or THAT... 

LEAP, DIVE, DARE, RISK TO BE THE BEST YOU EVER... WHAT YOU WERE BORN TO BE... 
YOU...

Carly Alyssa Thorne From 200 lbs to 125 lbs... The Journey of How...



The Story Of Carly Alyssa Thorne and the 
Health, Wellness and Fitness Journey....


I started out in the Health, Wellness and Fitness Field in 1982
Yes this is me, Carly Alyssa Thorne in 1986, Started working out in a
Jack LaLanne Fitness Facility in Yonkers, N.Y.







Yes this is me, Carly Alyssa Thorne in 1998- 200 lbs.
A Very Unhappy, Unhealthy Time in my life...
A story, that I do Share, as I have found it to be a 
Very Powerful Tool, in showing that
NO MATTER what you have been Thru
in LIFE... You ALWAYS have a CHOICE...

In 6 months I was back to a Healthy Positive Solid 125 lbs...



And This is me Now +5 or -5 lbs... since 2000.

Oh, and I just cut about 10 inches of my Hair...
December 2011...
Yes I know... I am Growing it back...
I explain the WHY- the IMPORTANCE of 
my cutting the Hair in my Coaching...


So the Question I am Always Asked and I am sure
You want to know is... THE HOW ???

SOME OF THE KEY TOOLS:

1-Your State of MIND...
I wake up Every Morning and first thing I do, after I have had my early morning bathroom break, is climb right back in bed and listen to a Subliminal Meditation on Love, Positivity, Sharing, Giving, Health, Team, 
Creativity, Co-Creating, Business, Relationships and Abundance
in all areas of my Life...


2-MOVEMENT OF BODY
I then will go for a 30 minute brisk walk and while I am walking I am thinking of what I am intending to Co-Create in my Life for that day...

Later in the day I also work out for another 30 minutes, Sometimes Longer, Sometimes Less- Yoga, Free Weights, Stretching, Water Therapy Training +++ I work out Late afternoon or Late Evening depending on my work schedule.

Being a Self-Employed Consultant, Life Coach and a Producer... Each day is extremely different and has different time demands and schedules, so I have to GO with the Flow... I just make sure NO matter what that I move my body each and every day...

SERIOUSLY, I have goten done with a PRODUCTION at 1 AM, and having been up since 5 AM that morning, and while everybody else has decided to go Party, Go the Bar, or to sleep... I have gone to the GYM..., If No gym was available, or the gym was closed, I would go for a brisk walk,  if it was raining and cold I went up to my Hotel Room and Worked out there...

No Excuses... Moving the body especially when you are under time lines and stress is Sooo Important... Even if I just went to bike for 15 minutes and then did a really good, relaxing, centering stretch... It helps boost Your Immune System, Energy System, and Removes the Stress Hormones floating thru your body...

Also, because I have been working out at home, in Gyms, Dance Studios, 
Yoga Studios, and Dojos, etc... since 1982 I like to shake it up and do something different every day...  

Ultimately you will have to find which Program or ANY PROGRAM that Resonates with YOU... that suits Your Life Style, desired outcomes and Energy Level... I am a firm believer YOU don't need a GYM or a VIDEO to work out or be motivated...  Your imagination, music, your OWN bodyweight can do wonders...  Bottom Line You need to Create what will keep you motivated and work for YOU...  I do STRONGLY advice that EVERYBODY find somebody to teach them proper FORM and Body alignment...



3- HEALTHY FOOD and NUTRITION 
After Every work out I drink a Healthy, No Additive,
Nutritious, Protein rich, Yummy Tasting Shake to fuel and help repair my muscles... NOW that me also STATE I am NOT A firm believer NOR do I endorse replacing MEALS with just a shake. Everybody's body is different and depending on how you are training etc... you may need more calories etc...  Restricting calories is NOT the way to keeping a healthy body and or achieving LONG term outcomes that you can sustain easily...

The Rest of the Day I Eat 3 Medium Sized Meals and 2 snacks that are: 
Clean, Pesticide free, Whole Foods, Alive, I eat 80%Alkaline, 
Low Glycemic Index Foods: Lots of Vegetables, Whole Sprouted Grains, Clean Protein's, Fresh Fruits, Nuts, Seeds, and Clean Non Trans Oils and Fats... and NO I don't feel deprived, hungry etc... and YES Your body does need Good FATS...

Once You have started to Eat this way, make this a LIFESTYLE... your Taste buds shift, and You no longer want or crave the unhealthy processed foods...

AND YES I still can go Out to a restaurant and Eat a Healthy Meal... there are a lot of GREAT restaurants that have many Awesome, YUMMY Dishes on their menus... Nobody said this had to BE HARD and BORING...

I also use a few other Products and Supplements on a DAILY basis see my 


4- Team, Mentors, Friends, Environment
*Make sure to have a support system in place, find a buddy to do it with you, or make it a family project.

*Find at least TWO people who are totally willing to support you while you are going thru the shift that you can call when you need to.

*Join online support groups, there are so many free support groups for exercise and healthy eating.


***If I ever start to feel myself get into a Funk or Negative Space, I instantly will play music that makes me Happy, Sing, Dance, to Immediately Shift me out of that state... 
KEY: I don't sit and wallow in the funk...

***My Environment, Friends, Team, Co-Workers, I make sure they are Coming from the Same Space and Energy I want Co-Created in my LIFE...

Which for ME the qualities that I Value in Co-Creating in all areas of my Life are:

Faith, Love, Heart Centeredness, Collaboration, Team, Positivity, Health, Giving, Sharing, Co-Creating, Being Grounded, Centered, Calm, Creativity, Playtime, Lots of Energy, Global Consciousness, Empowerment, Inspiration, Education, Self Development, Spirituality and Most of All...

My Chief GOAL in life is to Learn, Play and Grow 
each and Every Day... to Expand my Awareness of my Mind, Body, and Spirit...

BODY MOVEMENT BASICS: 
Honestly a lot of it is common sense seriously...

-Move your body everyday for at least 30 minutes and it is not necessary to go beyond an hour.  Everything in LIFE is a Balance too much to excess it NOT good, and neither is too little.  This usually DOES NOT Apply if you are an athlete or YOUR body - Physique is your commodity, like modeling, being a personal trainer etc... Athletes are training hours and hours a day, and they are also getting massive nutrition and proper training... I have my personal opinions that I will NOT get into here about how some of the training etc... is done to the determent of people's body and how their bodies are burnt out and a mess at a relatively YOUNG age, and that applies to modeling as well, however this article is NOT about that.

-VERY IMPORTANT: any exercise -it is all about quality and form, body alignment... it is NOT about EGO and doing more reps and or weight with bad form and body alignment. Think of it as a dance, a dancer has to hit certain poses and their body is in alignment when doing so, they are also FLUID, not jerky, well okay hip hop or other dance forms might have some jerky movements in there... You get my point.  You want your hips, shoulders, head all facing forward and in alignment when exercising, even when you are walking.

I STRONGLY suggest EVERYONE get a QUALIFIED person to walk them thru some routines where they are educating you on body alignment and form etc...

-Unless you are in a competitive sport or getting PAID to work out, or your body is your physical commodity and the way you make a living, there is NO need to do hours of cardio and gym time.

-Take a quick paced walk, go for a bike ride, whatever rocks your world fitness
wise, just truly commit to doing it for at least 30 minutes at least 5x a week.

-Food intake: again I could write a book on all the different things out there,
Raw, Vegan, Vegetarian, Eats fish and eggs yet no red meat, etc... etc... etc...

We make it Soooo Complicated, it truly doesn't have to be. The more complicated you make it the less chances you have of having a successful  outcome that you will be happy with and can sustain.

YOUR KITCHEN AND FOOD:
Before you do start anything it is a must that you go thru your kitchen and give away all of the food that is truly not good for you.  All the fake, processed, fatty, sweets etc...  there is NO way that you are going to follow thru on eating healthy if there is crap food in the house even if it is other family members food or house mates food... You are going to have to have the whole household's support and involvement...

So- depending on your living environment, if they are NOT willing to participate or help, sometimes it might mean making choices.  You might want to live with people that do care about what they eat etc.... It might mean you being the parent and adult and choosing to also get your kids and partner eating healthy.

ALL FOOD, Preferably: No pesticides, Organic if possible and NO Additives.

Definitely NO:

Fast food places, white flour, sugar, corn syrup, processed, pre- packaged foods, TV dinners, etc...etc...etc...  Come on folks we all know that fake sugars, all of the additives, candy, and all of the crap food is NOT good for us, so WHY eat it.

If you eat Whole Grain, Alive Food, you will have a ton of more energy and not crave the crap food.

Sugar is addictive and once you start eating that piece of cake it sends a signal to your brain with endorphins and you start craving more sweets. Trust me when you start to eat cleaner and cleaner your taste buds truly do shift. And... Nobody said your food has to taste bland.  There are so many amazing seasonings cumin, dill, pepper, oregano, parsley, garlic etc... etc... etc....

Think about this, if you had a friend that was an alcoholic you wouldn't hand that person a beer would you ?  So knowing that sugar is addictive and truly an out of control addiction for many, why would you knowingly give yourself let alone a person with eating issues something that was 100% Crap sugar like a processed artificial cookie and or piece of cake ?

HONOR and LOVE your body it is the ONLY one you have for this Lifetime if you believe in multiple lifes, like I do.

MORE BASICS:
*First basic math you must expend more energy or calories if you will, than you are eating... So honestly we all have our personal dogma when it comes to food, so again here are some basics:

*Eat 5-6 meals a day and don't skip to keep your metabolism active, when you skip meals your body freaks out and goes back to the OLD AGE times and stores your next meal because it doesn't know when you might or might not feed it so to speak, there is more to this scientifically involving sugars dropping and then when you finally eat blood sugar levels going up way too fast  etc... etc... etc... however again... I don't want to make this complicated... Simple is KEY....


In the morning when you get up or the night before pack some snacks in baggies to make things easier. I will get into the Glycemic Index and sugar levels a bit below.

Your 5- 6 meals:

*Make sure to have 3 well balanced meals and 2-3 small snacks.
What do I mean by snacks: one apple, 1 large carrot cut up or 6-8 mini carrots with almond butter or peanut butter, 2 Large stalks of celery with almond butter or peanut butter, 1/4 raw almonds.  Almond butter is healthier for you because it is alkaline. 

Meals depending on your dietary preference:
Again basic common sense: Eat whole, alive, whole grains foods, tons of vegetables, and some fruit and if you eat meat, make it LEAN meats...
And here is ANOTHER TIP... Eat meats and or foods that Don't have the Growth hormones and or antibiotics etc in them... WHY... Believe it or not all of those hormones makes your body STORE more fat and creates other issues...

Enough food that you feel satisfied, not Stuffed, bloated...

SOME BASIC DIGESTION TIPS:
*Do not drink while you are actively eating, drink before a meal or after.
WHY ? because our body is a LAB so to speak and your mouth has natural digestive enzymes that when we CHEW help break down the food to make it is easier to digest. When we drink while we eat, we dilute those enzymes.

*It is best to eat FRUIT by itself, as when you mix it with other foods it tends to get fermented and sit in your belly.  You can eat Fruit it will be totally digested within 2 hours.  Also the most beneficial time for Fruit is mornings.

WATER first thing in the morning with lemon juice helps get your organs hydrated and jump started for the day and... Lemons are alkalizing to your system. Which I will get into that a bit later too.  Lemons act as a blood sugar stabilizer and helps boost your metabolism and aids in digestion.  Great for your skin and lemons do contain some calcium.

Like I said earlier our bodies are like one big LAB, or chemistry set and there are massive studies out there that state that disease or another term used is our body is out of harmony, when our food intake is primarily acidic. Ideally you want to eat 80% Alkaline 20% Acidic.  Again... this is a topic of great discussion and another book so for now here is a basic chart and below the chart is a great resource link to dive more into it.




NOW ONTO BIGGEST impact of Health and Wellness and the prevention of Insulin resistance or Pre-Diabetes, the Glycemic Index.

Bottom line the white processed foods, NON whole foods items and sweets etc are much highly on the Glycemic index and are also higher on the acidic side, not an accident as they are interrelated.

Integral Heart Foundation & Global Giving


Hi My Internet Family Whom I Love and Support..,

I am writing to you for another, rather special, reason today. 

I am good Friends with Mick Quinn, who Along with his Wife 
Debora Prieto, Founded this Small Yet Powerful Grassroots 
Non-Profit called the Integral Heart Foundation in Guatemala 
where they both have been living since 2009. 

Their foundation has a very special opportunity this April because 
they have been asked to partner with a large international fundraising 
site (with lots of corporate backers such as Nike, HP, Dell) 
called Global Giving.

Since 2002, GlobalGiving has raised over $62 million for non-profits. 
As you can see, this is a big deal for Mick and Debora’s foundation 
to get accepted as a partner on their site! They want to open a 
second kindergarten for children in Guatemala.



The challenge this month is to raise a minimum of $4,000 by the 
30th from 50 or more individual donors. When they do this they can 
post other projects on GlobalGiving and continue with their 
great work.
