The Doctor Love Show

Our Topic for the day was "DEATH" as my 100 year old grandmother had just passed away on June 8, 2012. The below video was created by one of her sons, my Uncle.

 

Anyways, So I wrote this on my Facebook wall on June 9, 2012

"My 100 Year old Grandma died last night... Lots of Love and Light on her journey beyond and reunion with Grandpa... She lived a very full LIFE... Played the Piano, and was a Opera Singer and Model when she was younger... and had 5 beautiful children... I am happy You are finally at Peace...  Go Explore Your new life..."

LET ME PRE- FRAME THIS with I am NOT going to get into RELIGION, 

and whether there is reincarnation or not etc... nor do I CLAIM TO KNOW what happens once we die... I am NOT a Licensed Psychologist or Doctor... 

I do have had over 25 years experience and certifications in both the Western and Eastern fields of Metaphysics and Medicine and this is just my PERSONAL Views.  So with that, please Enjoy the Journey...

I was TRULY amazed by some of the comments that were posted on my Facebook wall so it made me truly want to do a Podcast on the subject of Death... Here are some of the things I brought up in the Podcast and some of what came up for me after listening to the Podcast etc.... 

Most of the comments on my Facebook wall were the typical:

"Sorry for your loss!!" 

"My condolences to you and your family"

"my deepest sympathies Carly to you and your family"

A FEW Actually GOT IT and wrote:

"What a wonderful tribute to her, Carly. :)"

"I love your attitude toward her transition. I suspect she can now assist you in your journey without the limitation of a physical body. Love and light to you and your family."

So here are SOME OF my thoughts:

Since as Long as I can remember I have always viewed DEATH differently-

Maybe it is because I was a very sick child, teen and even into my earlier 30's.  

Maybe it is because I have had over 26 surgeries.

Maybe it is because I have almost died 3x.

Maybe it is because i worked for Hospice, in Nursing homes, ICU, and CCU for years, years ago. Maybe it is because some of the things I experienced, heard, and saw personally when I almost died and with working with terminally ill children and adults.

Let's begin with that MANY do not like to talk about DEATH, so much so, that a lot of times people have neglected do take care of things like a living will or a will and their arrangements so when they do pass away a lot of chaos and overwhelm is left for those behind.

I have heard people actually say:

-I don't want to discuss your Will because YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DIE...

-I don't want to discuss your Will because I don't want anything from you... 

etc...etc.... Granted I can understand not wanting someone you love to die, and not wanting something from their will... AND... WE must take accountability and responsibility and if we REALLY LOVE our LOVED ONES why would we want them to have to deal with all the aftermath and chaos that gets created when nothing is taken care of...

Some FACTS and IDEAS I have Chosen to live by:

-It is a FACT we are all going to pass on at some point and time so to me to FEAR death is a crazy concept.  Therefore I say Live Fearless, live each day as though it is a miracle. Challenge yourself, live FULL out 100% +++. learn and experience as much as you can.

My daily Motto: is to continually be creating from the space of Learning, Playing, and Growing each and everyday....

-We treat dying animals sometimes more humanely than humans.

Example: Living Wills why can't we HONOR others requests ???

I used to work for Hospice years ago and I have on many occasions heard and even seen families FIGHTING over their Loved ones, they say they LOVE...  If someone has a LIVING WILL and says PLEASE I do NOT want to be kept alive via machines etc if I have NO Quality of life left... Who are we to then once somebody has had a massive stroke or are in a coma etc to judge or challenge that person's wishes ???

We need to move beyond OUR needs and feelings and truly look at the circumstances the person is in and what quality of life they would have, if they even did recover.

We have to be willing to let people, places and things Go... We don't own them, they are people, and experiences...  It is selfish to want to keep someone alive for our own needs and or fear of the unknown.

When we see our animals old, and clearly in pain, we take them to our vet  or have the vet come to us and we let our animals die in peace.  At least this is what I have done in the past.  We must honor the feelings and needs of the our elderly, ill or dying.

The Where:

Imagine if you will creating a space that You would want to pass away in:

Personally when that time comes, I want to be in my OWN BED in my OWN HOME surrounded by Beautiful Flowers, Music playing in the background 247, Beautiful artwork and color all around with Amazing, Awesome friends and loved ones...

And from a financial stand point and as far as I am concerned it is 100% +++ more peaceful and Loving to let someone die in their own Home and bed... You HIRE who YOU want to be around, and You surround yourself and your loved one with all the multi-sensory beauty you can...  Studies have shown they are in less pain and transition quicker and more peacefully...

Our medical insurance companies and our medical system is a topic that I WON'T get into...  That could take months of blogging... LOL...

-Obituaries, Funeral Homes, Cemeteries WHY ???

I look at LIFE as a CELEBRATION...

I look at DEATH as a CELEBRATION...

Thus I PERSONALLY feel obituaries, Funeral Homes, and Cemeteries do NOT FIT in with the VIBE of CELEBRATION... Our culture has made these things to be one of LOSS, Sadness, and not a PRETTY Multi-Sensory Visual or feel as far as I am concerned.

Funeral Homes: WHY NOT have a PARTY a CELEBRATION:

Create a LIVING CELEBRATORY VIDEO of the person, showing the person laughing, hugging, singing, dancing, family etc...  Have the Party at the PERSON'S home, where their Love and Energy still is, in some way... if YOU believe we are all Energy, Vibration, Particules, if you will...  not a Funeral parlor.

Cemeteries: WHY the need for a Cemetery to HONOR or visit someone ???

What happens when you have to MOVE and are no longer in the same city or town where the cemetery is ??? You don't need a Church to Pray, no more than you need a cemetery to talk or visit with your passed Loved ones...just talk, sing, dance, even write from YOUR HEART an any given moment day or night, and I believe that our passed loved ones can feel, hear, and see us...

Obituaries: Personally I don't feel the need for a piece to be in the paper about HOW I died, WHO I was, WHERE I lived, and WHAT Family has survived my death...  First of all, I think it is a Personal thing... Secondly, I personally don't need the world  to know... The people I would want to know, that cared and Loved me would know because they where in the need to know for whatever reason.

To me it is the same as when WE GIVE- we should be Giving from a Place of just choosing to give without any expectations of a return, just because.... I love the show where people go into the streets and help and then write a check for a million dollars to someone just because, they didn't have a need for people to know who they were in the process... I love hearing about stories of anonymous donors and givers...

                              

So these are Just a FEW OF THE KEY POINTS that have stood out for me when listening to the PODCAST... Please Share YOUR THOUGHTS and IDEAS on Death and Dying.... It is TIME we SHARED AND SPOKE instead of FEARING something that we all have experienced on some level with loved ones passing and eventually will happen to us...

-Create a weekly POSITIVE on-line TV talk show thru collaboration and sharing with other people and platforms.

-To create awareness that it doesn't take BIG acts of kindness to change the world.

-Interview people of all walks of life about their experiences.

-Film random acts of kindness and then interviewing both parties about how it felt to be doing- Giving the act of kindness and the receiving of the act of kindness.

-To create a buzz within the schools, to start with our Youth from the time they enter preschool about what daily acts of kindness is all about.

-Speaking at schools and helping other PIF Clubs get formed in schools like Moorpark H.S. did. Have PIF kids talk to other PIF kids at other schools about their experiences.

What has driven me beyond Passionate to do this:

One: 
 The Pay it Forward Experience Foundation was Founded by Charley Johnson who I have had the honor of interviewing and spending some quality time with... Since then my RADAR for Pay it Forward people, acts, organizations etc... has deeply magnified not that it wasn't a daily priority before I met Charley...

This has driven me to become massively PASSIONATE about making this Documentary a stellar resource for all of these amazing people and or organizations and companies that are doing Paying it Forward acts and programs etc... YET nobody knows about each other...

Two: 
Paying it Forward has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, even my mother would tell me stories of when I was young of me giving quarters to people.  The further why... I was born a very ill child from the time I was born, so ill; there are no baby pictures of me until I was a month old. Challenges of youth from Scarlet fever taking my hearing temporarily, massive loss of vision till this day and a roller coaster ride of a cycle I needed to process and break which took me until my husband committed suicide in 1998. Before that my life was a ride of Anorexia, bulimia, massive Sexual, Verbal, and Physical Abuse, dysfunctional family relationships and marriages, Attempted suicides, massive pain, 26 surgeries to date as of 2012, too many near death experiences, wealth, debt, etc...  I even worked at World Trade Center Tower #2 missed it by an hour, I went to work one hour later because a client called in the night before to cancel our appointment and normally I would have still gone in early because I only commuted into WTC, Monday thru Thursday's. That day I choose not to go in early and got to the train station and they said you are NOT going to work today... 

No matter what was going on in my life I was still a very Loving, Passionate, Giving, Positive person.  Yes, I am human and I did go thru my phases of intense anger... Although I unfortunately would take that anger out on my myself, my body... Thus the yo-yoing from 95 lbs to a breaking point of 200 lbs. etc... about 3x.

So my BIG Why is if I can still be standing, alive, passionate, loving, and positive and I did my recovery literally ALMOST by myself ANYBODY can do it AND I have learned beyond a shadow of a doubt that it takes Authenticity, Trust, Compassion, Passion, Sharing, Collaboration and TEAM WORK to do it...  Thus this Documentary showing amazing people of all walks of life impacting others thru "Paying it Forward - The Ripple Effect"

Global Connections and Business via the World of Social Media

 
I posted my Conscious Business Collaboration logo for this post, because to me this is what our Global internet is all about...

Alex Mandossian today via his Facebook page posted a GREAT POST. 
He shared this link:
5 Tools for Turning Social Media Relationships Into In-Person Connections

Alex posted:

"How true is it that many of the people you connect with online never cross over to real-life! Just think about all the missed opportunities you've had. Well now, there are tools that can help you make those connections."

And then asked people to post and share their stories.

Alex replied with this comment "your story is so inspirational! I hope that you share this story with as many people as you can, because it is true! You can make some of the best connections with strangers, you just have to be open to meeting them and put the fear away."

So here is what I wrote:
"I travel all over interviewing and promoting speaks, authors, musicians etc... and I have to say some of most amazing stories have started with Social Media Sites like FB and Twitter where somebody has reached out to me or I them, and a conversation gets started... One in particular when I was living in Hawaii for 3 yrs. I had a client whom we had been talking via phone for over 3 yrs and worked together for over 3 yrs and when I just recently moved back to CA and had the opportunity to fly to Florida to interview some speakers and she just happened to live only 30 minutes from where I was going to be we met for the very first time and it was AMAZING... It was like I have known her my entire life... The initial HUG was magical and the conversation was like WHY on earth didn't we do this before... So many people are afraid to met complete strangers, I have flown all the way across the US to meet some people... Bottom line YOU Never know, follow your intuition, some of the most amazing Relationships, friendship, business and other come out of the wonderful world of Social Media and the internet... At the end of the day I live my life from the mindset of Sharing, Collaboration, and Team work and from there anything can be achieved... and some wonderful relationships that can be live Transforming... Enjoy the Journey..."

I would like to add to that, that when I lived in Santa Monica, before
I moved to Hawaii for 3 years, I used to have a 3bed/3bath place and 
I would always LOVE to post an ad on Craigslist for my spare room for 
World Travelers to come stay.  I would do this about 3 to 4 times a year, because having grown up overseas from the ages of 5-14 and having 
traveled all over I would find myself missing the different cultures and diversity of people.

I have to say I have met some Amazing people that have led to ongoing relationships personally and business wise, and we still stay in touch via Facebook, email etc...

The world is a big, amazing place and while YES, I obviously advice that you  do your screening and follow your intuition- be willing to open your minds and your hearts and realize that there is a WORLD of collaborations waiting for you at your fingertips...

Authenticity and Flexibility and Communication

I did a fun Podcast interview today My good friend Raphael Love 

and we talked about

Choices, Paths, Flexibility and Authenticity.

What Path are You on ??? 

In life it always comes down to choices...

What are You choosing to have in Your life ??? 

What people, places, things are You creating in Your life and how are they showing up for You ???

One of the biggest stumbling blocks to staying on Your path is being willing to be Authentic and Flexible. How often are You wearing a mask when You are in Public ???

Think of this... How do you expect people to be authentic with You, if You aren't the REAL You in any given situation. You have to be willing to truly be You at all times, it doesn't matter if You are on Stage giving a presentation or at home with Your loved one...

In life, You will find if You are Authentically You, Strong and grounded and are willing to go with the flow, remain open minded and not fixed minded, and don't take things personally,You would have a lot less stress... And... things would be manifesting in a much bigger and quicker way...
How often are You willing to ebb and flow with situations, instead of having a fixed point of View ???

Think of this.. A tree has a STRONG trunk yet when storms blow their branches-limbs go with the flow of the wind, if they didn't, we wouldn't have any trees because every time we had a storm the trees would snap and fall over...

People are not mind readers, You have to be willing to communicate anything and everything, if You don't share Your ideas, thoughts, feelings You will find that the whole creative process gets shut down and clogged up. In not expressing what You are feeling You are feeding a silent volcano that will eventually erupt.

Realize You aren't going to be able to Please everybody and the sooner You stop attempting to do so and remain Your authentic self, and Learn to embrace the terms Let's Do it, Delegate it or Delete it, your life will be filled of unnecessary drama that is a lot of wasted energy...

Get real with Yourself and others... Be willing to put Yourself out there... Stretch Yourself... Explore putting on a new habit, idea, inspiration and see how it feels... Open Your mind to new possibilites... Dream... Write... Become... Do...

I Choose Love, What do You Choose ???

Everyday in life we have choices...  

Example: We can be driving and somebody cuts us off, and in that very moment we can choose to get pissed off and let it ruin our day or let it go and move on with our day.   

I finally got clear that when I am driving I like to either listen to audio books where I am engaged in listening and learning something or to listen to music that I Love and I just start singing my heart out...  That way no matter what happens when I am driving, I already am in a good state of happiness and can shift right back into that space if something unpleasant does happen when I am driving...  

At the end of the day, Life is Precious and can be gone in a blink of a second... I used to work at World Trade Center Tower 2 and missed the planes by ONE hour, because a client of mine cancelled our appointment the night before. Normally, I still would have gone in early except that one day I decided oh heck, why not sleep in an extra 30 minutes...  I used to commute from the NJ side to the NY side 4 days a week for work so that extra sleep was something that was much appreciated as those 4 days were 12 hour days.  

In my opinion life is too short to get pissed off at things you sometimes don't have control over.  I attempt to live my Life from a space of Heart centered Compassion and LOVE as much as possible...

What type of Social Media person are You- Introvert or Extrovert ???

To me the World is my family, and I have met some AMAZING people from around the world on the internet.  I will share a story of how amazing... I just relocated back to CA. from the Big Island of Hawaii where I lived for 3 yrs..

While I lived in Hawaii I met an amazing person whom I became good friends with over the internet, we talked almost everyday, yet we never had physically met, well one day on a business trip where I was supposed to stay feel thru, and YES, I could have stayed at a hotel, yet as I sat on a chair after I got my luggage with the news of my stay with friends having fallen thru and got really quiet, and all of a sudden I had this inner voice say call "_______".  

I called this person and they were like absolutely, and it was the most amazing, fun, in depth conversations ever...  Now mind you, his friends and my friends were telling each of us are you YOU NUTS this person could be crazy, dangerous etc...  All you have done is talk on the phone... 

My point is ONE must use their intuition, FEEL from their HEART not your belly where the butterflies of fear live... I have traveled across the country to meet people I have never met in person- males and females... One must take risks in live... Be daring, bold to expand, learn and grow...  

I am truly happy I am for the most part a fearless person, now; I am not saying I don't have certain things that I don't like or am not afraid of like "SNAKES" LOL... Just saying I don't live from a place of fear in my daily live... and I am sooo GRATEFUL for that...  

The funny thing is, on the phone and in person people tell me WOW... You are one of the most high energy, positive, passionate persons I have met,  and would have to agree that when I am on stage, performing, speaking, in front of the camera or live I am quiet the extrovert.... Yet once I am settled in I am very much the introvert, quiet homebody... I think it is because I use so much energy when I am in introvert mode I really relish and enjoy the quiet introvert time Hm... Not to say that even when I am introvert mode I am still not happy, passionate or energetic, I am just in a quieter more introverted state.

I have to say that in today's world of Social Media, I think it has truly helped those that are primarily introverts reach out and connect with others.  I also think it has helped the disabled population and those who can't get out,  have interaction and develop a circle of friends and build a support system.

On the other hand, we have people that have become so attached to Social Media they do nothing except surf on the computer and it consumes their life,  and they become shut ins... So at what point does Social Media become a problem ???

And... to what degree are you being honest when you are socializing in the Social Media world.  I have found some of Social Media to leave a BAD TASTE in my mouth because Social Media has become a numbers game, a score and some folks are NOT being authentic and honest.  

Example: Foursquare: It is meant to share where You are, what you do, and tips for others, instead I have seen people just to raise their scores checking into places they aren't even at.... 

Empire Avenue: People clicking on missions and not doing the missions, just collecting the Eaves...

WHAT the heck is that all about... Come on people... Are you that desperate to be the leader on a board and what does that say about you ?  

And... then of course we have all of the computer programs to do the work for us, auto responders etc... again which I can understand if You are a large company or famous... Yet my take on that is if you have a large company or are famous PAY a Virtual assistant with a POSITIVE caring, amazing energy can do attitude to handle it for you, so there is still a HUMAN element... Ok another pet peeve, Please CREATE Your OWN replies, in Your OWN words, so that it reflects YOU and not the assistant's words or style...  GEEZ... We are human beings after all that like real HUMAN caring and interaction...

Solution: one thing that I do is I have created all of these replies and action steps and have them in my email draft and a doc on my desktop so my assistant can just cut and paste my replies and I also have her leave me the DIRECT emails for me.  And... I have a list of people the VA's know to leave for me, I communicate directly with my inner circle people...  Why is it called SOCIAL MEDIA if we aren't willing to interact or socialize with others and truly show we actually care...

Ok the last thing that really drives me insane about the tech world... How many of You are silently cursing in your head when you call a number and you get these LONG messages with Please select option 1, 2, 3 etc... or a computer voice saying "how may I assist you" ? And then the voice says, Sorry I didn't get that, did you say this... PLEASE, that is such a WASTE of time... I would much rather have a live voice who knows the answers or where to direct me then wasting my time on a phone with a computer when half the time I am still going to have to speak to a live person anyway and I just wasted 10 minutes navigating the options and sorry I didn't understand that, let me connect you to an operator... LOL...  Yes, there is the short cut hit "OOO" for operator a ton of times LOL... and eventually after a few repeated "OOO's" you finally get connected.

So what was the POINT in writing this Blog...  The point was to bring to everyone's awareness, are they truly being authentic in the game of Social Media, are they truly creating Collaborations, sharing, and team work, or are they strictly in it for a higher klout score and automation...

I have been continously asked why and how I am so positive, have this much energy, passion etc... So here is a bit of the why... 

Who is Carly Alyssa Thorne and how did she get here ???

The Journey Called My Life of SOS... to CAT.. 

Yes, this is LONG...  AND... If You Choose to take the Journey with me, I Promise YOU, you will have many Aha moments. You will GET the Reason Why I am all About TRANSFORMATIONS of the Mind, Body, and Spirit... and why I am so Passionate and live full out.

I will not be mentioning any full names or places to honor people's Privacy. I am THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL to a select few, yes few... that came to my side and helped me to find the Light in my time of need and much darkness...  You find out real quickly who your true friends are in the darkest of times.

This full bio is here to give you a a sense of who I am and why I can talk from a place of experience.  I feel, it is important to share one's story ONLY from the perspective that if I CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU... 

NOT, for your pity, not to stay in the past, or dwell on it. I am Extremely Grateful for my Past, it has made me into the Strong, Compassionate, Healthy, Giving, Person I am today... I have chosen to share my story to EMPOWER others to BE THE BEST them EVER... and with the HOPE... That they will ALWAYS choose themselves... CHOOSE LIFE... 

I have been told by many Bosses, Friends, Ex's and More that I am:

SKILL SET WISE: 
Keeping in mind I waa born in 1964 folks... I have spent the last 25 years wearing many hats at the same time so to Speak and have always been one to have MULTIPLE balls juggling in the air with grace, ease, and joy, and sometimes NOT with grace, ease, and joy...  I think it is the PRODUCER Energy in Me... Thankfully I learned to Embrace and LOVE the Concepts of sharing, collaboration, co-creating and TEAMWORK... That was a lesson that did take years in the making LOL... as the younger me when I started working right out of High School, was of the mentality that I was a lone island struggling against the current all by myself due to a lack of trust of others due to many experiences you will hear about below.

***I think I was a GEISHA in a previous Life... LOL...    

So right now I am sure there are those thinking NO way she could have been good at all of those things and or successful at them.  I was a fighter, a survivor, strong, determined so yes, I actually was really good at my professions. I was Certified, Trained, had amazing jobs with Top executives, Companies, and People from all around the World. Did I have great testimonies and large salaries... YUP... Did I have my UP and DOWNS... YUP... Was I Passionate about all these things, Yes I was...

So now you are thinking OK, so what is the problem ?  HOW COULD I HAVE all of these things in one LIFETIME even maybe; at the same time and be HAPPY... HEALTHY... SUCCESSFUL... and ABUNDANT...  HM... Better yet the question WAS ???  How come every time I finally got everything back to together again and things were AWESOME... BOOM... There it would go again... I did say I had my ups and downs, I never said I wasn't good or successful at my professions, because I was, the PROBLEM was it would only last so long.

My training would tell me I had a very busy monkey mind full of old outdated unconscious beliefs running around in there taking me out at a very chance it got.  Until we are truly willing to LET go and Surrender and CHANGE, Nothing will Change in our lives... We just keep repeating the same patterns over and over and over until we get so tired of living a certain way OR something HUGE happens in our life's to wake us up.  Ex. Car accident, illness etc.

What I am going to share with You is NOT Pretty...Yup baring it all, laying all the cards on the table...

However, in sharing my story others can see that anyone can Achieve, Overcome and become Anything and Everything they want to BE- NO MATTER WHAT... Ultimately, at some point and time in our life's, it all boils down to CHOICE...

WHO AND WHERE I WAS THEN to get to the present:

I was born in Yonkers, NY in 1964 with the birth given name of the initials of SOS... This was very symbolic of my childhood and my life growing up.  I was always seeking help, in trouble, confused, and dismayed with Life.  I had MANY health, family and relationship problems...TODAY, I wouldn't call them problems, Tough LOVE and lessons of self growth.

I left the United States when I was 5 years old and then went on to live in Mexico, Venezuela and Brazil until the age of 14. I returned to the U.S. in 9th grade of High School and from there Lived all over NY State, NJ and Beyond...

I am THANKFUL and GRATEFUL NOW for the Journey of much travel, Yet as a youth, I was angry, in crisis mode all of the time and Sooo NOT thankful. TODAY, all of that travel has made me an individual that is able to Ebb and Flow and adapt to any given environment or situation and to be able to THINK on my Feet... It has given me the respect and knowledge of the many different cultures and to acknowledge all Beings as individuals, yet the same on a Soul level.

I look at COACHING, MENTORING and TEACHING as one MUST come from experience to be able to truly help someone... and I mean Direct experience of the things they are Mentoring or Consulting about...

How can someone Help You about certain things unless they themselves have experienced similar issues ? Your experience is unique YES...  However, at least someone can Empath, Understand, if they themselves have experienced it, to their own degree. I am saying this because, as THANKFUL and GRATEFUL AS I AM for my LIFE... It was NOT by far an EASY path...  I look back Now and realize the PATH I CHOOSE, was my path of Strength, Understanding, and Compassion, for myself and others, and to be able to use my gifts to help others get out of their Maze of darkness as I did.

To CHOOSE Life, To Say YES, I am bigger than ALL of this... Everything has beauty, even within the darkness..  I grew up with severe Sexual, Verbal and Physical Abuse to the extend that at one time I was on Social Security Disability and had severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I went through years of treatment and was on many western medicines, even hospitalized over 4 times, twice for suicide attempts. I had repeated weight problems from Anorexia 95 lbs, which, with my frame- which is big boned, and athletic is not good, to bulimia and overweight of a breaking point of 200 lbs. I went thru this cycle 3x.

To add to all of this my mother had German Measles when she was pregnant with, and they told her to abort me because I might have this or that etc... She didn't Thank God, as I am here... And... I was very ill as a child so much so there are no baby pictures of me until I was a few months old.

Starting at the age of 16 entering into serious dysfunctional relationships... Leading to 3 Marriages to continue the abuse cycle from my childhood as I knew no different  and the 4th marriage which was beyond abusive to the point I almost died and my husband committing suicide.  WOW... NOW THAT IS A MOUTHFUL.. To top it all off. I was riddled with Medical Problems since I was born and I stopped counting after I hit surgery #17 for medical reasons all within 15 years. In total now 26 surgeries as of 11/2012 in a lifetime...

Further self study into the Mind, Body, Spirit connection and body memories would prove that some of this was MY attempt of removing the pain and memories from my body that was riddled with fear and pain all of the time.  My body created all sorts of problems medically- Severe Endometriosis, degenerative joint bone disease in all major joints etc... etc... etc... 

I am NOT saying they weren't legitimate surgeries they were for REAL things, and I almost Died, Numerous times...  One of my lessons in massively studying Western and Eastern medicine and philosophies is they both have a purpose and a place.  

I realized Years Later as I went thru years and layers of Self-Discovery and The Mind, Body, Spirit connection that I created the disease in my body... A way to Deal and cope with all of the Fear, Anger, Sadness my Inner Child felt... And at the time the Unwillingness to Truly Forgive SELF and Others for everything that I experienced, felt, went thru etc...

The Ultimate breaking of the cycle and AHA moment came when my late husband died- Committed Suicide in 1998. I HAD A CHOICE to make, DO I CHOOSE LIFE OR DEATH ??? Do I CHOOSE to let everyone blame me ??? Beat myself up... Feel Guilty, Kill myself ???

I smiled and Laughed a lot, I was Great at Facial Masks... I had always been the Healer, Healing others, picking partners that needed to be saved. I had never TRULY saved or healed myself though, until that one fated day, when  I finally CHOOSE ME...  I CHOOSE LIFE...

My late husband was my BIGGEST GIFT... I THANK HIM IMMENSELY FOR THAT GIFT OF CHOICE....and WAKING MY ASS UP... TRUST ME, when I tell you the CHOICE was not EASY... I had to stand Alone, strong, let go of old friends, family members, the STORIES... Stand UP to the Past, Stand up to Family members and STAND firm and CHOOSING ME... AND also take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for my Part in the allowing of the Co-Creation of it all...

I had to be willing to EXPOSE all the SKELETONS of the past, even my OWN demons, and errors.  I had to be willing to CHOOSE to face up to MY STUFF. Be willing to SHOW UP and NOT Care what others thought of ME in Sharing all of this... Hiding was NO Longer an OPTION for me... 

NOW AM I SAYING THAT I AM ALL OF A SUDDEN SAVED,  DONE... Of course NOT... I am still and will always be Evolving, Choosing, making mistakes along the way... THANK GOD... Who would want to be Perfect..

My other HUGE AHA, and Awakening to HOW truly PRECIOUS LIFE is and how short it can be was when I used to work at the WORLD TRADE CENTER... I was a Wellness-Fitness Consultant and Trainer... I was one of their specialized Medical trainers, meaning I dealt with the clients that had major medical issues.  I still have my locker keys... WOW... what a day... Talk about a wake up CALL...

I was on my way to work that day... My client had called the night before to cancel our session, choosing to take one more vacation day to relax at his beach house. SO.... I went to work one hour later because of that. I was at the train station when the towers got hit. Normally when my client cancelled in the past I would have still gone in early and had a good training session for myself... SO YES, I AM EXTREMELY THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL TO be Healthy, Happy and ALIVE...

SO HOW DID I DO IT ???

Well, first I had to make some HUGE life changing decisions. I had to let go of the People, places, and things that I was surrounded by that were negative and kept me bound to the things and experiences that supported my old outdated beliefs about who I was and what I could or could not have, Be and Do. And like I talk about in the other article I wrote, I am constantly Learning, Playing, and Growing each and every day... I Choose to be Around Positive, Happy, Healthy, Abundant People, Places and things...

I Listen, Read, take courses on things that EXPAND my Mind, Body, and Spirit... I Nourish myself with Positive, Inspiring, Spiritual People and things...  I have kept my weight off, yes I am human; and I have gone +5-10 or -minus 5-10... AND... have always brought myself back to sanity. 

I have good healthy Co-Creational friendships, The WORLD, The Universe is my Family... I Surround myself with Amazing and Inspiring Teachers, and Mentors, and just AWESOME SOULS all of the time. I surround myself everyday, every minute as often as I can with Positive, Healthy, and Abundant people and SItuations... And when I say ABUNDANT... I am NOT just talking $$$... I have HAD LOTS of MONEY... I have LOST LOTS of MONEY... AND I have ALWAYS Re-Created LOTS OF MONEY... Money ONLY Makes YOU MORE of what YOU Already are... If You were miserable before MONEY... More money is only going to  make YOU more miserable... My LESSON around MONEY was KEEPING IT... LOL... I was the ULTIMATE giver... Buying everything for EVERYONE, Yet Spent Little on myself... 

I also am a HUGE BELIEVER in Spending money on People and Global Issues now WHILE I am ALIVE.... I have NO NEED to die with HUGE Wealth, I want to See it Spent and Used while I am ALIVE to see the GOOD it is doing... And in the END... I am DEAD, I have NO Need to leave a LEGACY... or for the ESTATE to be fighting with Governments over Estate Taxes etc... People are always talking about what they want to be REMEMBERED for...  And I am LIKE... HOW about NOW ?

The NOW is WHERE We currently are... Of course I want to LEAVE this Earth-Planet better than I Found it... And, I want to do MASSIVE Good while I am Alive...

I CHOOSE TO LIVE MY LIFE WITH as much SPUNK, VIGOR, HAPPINESS, HEALTH and ABUNDANCE as I CAN... WHY ABUNDANCE ??? SO that I may GIVE a HAND UP, Educate, Mentor, and help thousands of people, and organizations- help them to get out of the maze of negativity, disease, and just plain LACK MENTALITY in all areas of their life.

So I am asking YOU: TO CHOOSE YOU TODAY... I AM ASKING YOU: TO CHOOSE LIFE TODAY... I AM ASKING YOU: TO SAY YES I CAN... Have it all...  Health, Abundance, Happiness and Sooooo much more... YOU CAN have BOTH AND... It doesn't have to be THIS or THAT... 

LEAP, DIVE, DARE, RISK TO BE THE BEST YOU EVER... WHAT YOU WERE BORN TO BE... 

YOU...
